HARD DAYS- THE ANTHEM OF YOUR HIGHER SELF

Have you listened to Brantley Gilbert’s song HARD DAYS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A3pPJuAH7s&feature=youtu.be

If your Higher Self had an anthem, this would be it! If you haven’t heard it, I hope you to take a few minutes, click on the link above, and really listen. It may change how you feel about your life.

Have you ever felt like life enjoys kicking you when your already down? Ever say to yourself, if one more thing goes wrong I’m going to lose my mind? At times like this, it’s so easy to feel like giving up. We are all human, it’s a natural response. Would you feel differently if you understood the higher purpose for all the struggles you’ve faced?

It may be a difficult concept to grasp, but everything that happens to us truly happens for a reason. Even the most horrible situations have meaning. if you were able to see it from a higher perspective, from that of your higher self she would ask you to consider this for a moment: If you never had hard days…

You would have never learned the words to "Amazing Grace"
Never felt the chill of a pew when you lost faith
Well, blood, sweat, and tears wouldn't mean a thing
If you didn't strike out a couple hundred times
If you never hit rock bottom, never cussed the sky
You would've never known to ask the good Lord why
Or ever changed your life.

In the moments that hurt the most, the ones that truly shake us to our core, like losing someone you love, losing your job when you have a family to feed, or being told that you have cancer, you find out who you really are, and what you’re truly capable of. It’s in our darkest days that we learn to appreciate how beautiful the sunsets are. We realize that each day, no matter the difficulty, is a gift not to be taken for granted. If you found out today that you had only a short time to live, would your worries of today carry the same weight? Would the type of car you’re driving or the house you’re living in really matter as long as your family was safe and cared for? Would you wish that you’d loved more deeply, let the arguments go for the sake of peace, given up that corporate job for the little farm you always wanted, put the family in the car and just drove until you found a beautiful place and had a picnic? Consider this for a moment If you never had hard days…

If you never had a heartbreak
Never had more than you can take
Or carried the weight of life on your shoulders
Would you feel like you earned it?
Would you live with a purpose?
Or ever known your own strength
If you never had hard days?

You wouldn't know what it's like to dance in the rain
Never see the silver lining when the skies go grey
You wouldn't know a dream come true from a few that don't
You'd never find your way on a broken road.

These are the things your Higher Self, (the part of you that is everlasting, your soul self), would encourage you to think about. Life is a test of will, grit, forgiveness, understanding and above all, love. Every situation, every obstacle, every loss is a lesson and each one challenges us to rise up and be our best selves. So you see, if you sat down today and had a chat with your Higher Self, I am certain she would say , “Dear One, You’ve never been given more than you could handle and you’ve never been alone or unloved a day in your life. I am always right here with you guiding you gently while allowing you the room to make mistakes so you can grow. Through every hard day you’ve endured I have been by you lovingly wishing you could see your own strength as I do. Know that you are beautifully, wonderfully, perfectly you. Don’t waste another moment dear one. Take the time now to dance in the rain, go on that picnic, laugh like a child and love unconditionally. Live the kind of life that fills your heart with joy and your soul with peace and know that you are loved more than you could possibly know!”
